There is nothing super urgent in all this world than to tell people about Jesus Christ. Evangelise, Preach as You Go is a response to the urgency of evangelism. At a time when man is the centre of all things and politicians are increasingly becoming theologians, Evangelise, Preach as You Go is about God being the centre of all things again. It is a call to church and leadership renewal at a time when the Gospel sounds more and more like foolishness in the ears of the unregenerate. “For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God” (1 Cor 1:18). The mark of true discipleship is an unwavering commitment to preach the Gospel with urgency and to become fishers of men.

In obedience to God’s direction, during the 2025 Lenten season, Wesley 100 International (WIN) is launching a project, ‘Evangelise, Preach as You Go! God said, “Go out into the highways and along the hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled” (Lk 14:23). Effective evangelism takes place in the truly converted heart. You cannot give what you do not have. Evangelise, Preach as You Go is about sharing the Gospel through conversation with family members, friends, and strangers, handing out Gospel literature, going door-to-door, one-to-one conversation, gospel street preaching, or social media.

Beyond a Christian term, Evangelise, Preach as You Go is about joining in the work of God to bring redemption to this world. Evangelism means preaching, announcing, or communicating the Gospel, our salvation. The word of God says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (Jn 3:16). And again, as Jesus tells us, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (Jn 14:6). Accepting that good news and then telling others about it, so they know too, is the definition of evangelism.

Evangelise, Preach as You Go is about passionately sharing your testimony to create a renewing environment for people to experience redemption in Jesus Christ. Jesus and His followers did just that everywhere they went (even when it was unpopular). They shared their story and established their brand. Even the people who hated and persecuted them clearly knew what they stood for and their testimony.

The Bible teaches that all humanity carries a deadly disease called sin. A natural brokenness within us is with us from the time we are born. Jesus offers a remedy. He teaches, “No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again” (John 3:3). “The cross shows us the seriousness of our sin—but it also shows us the immeasurable love of God.”

Evangelise, Preach as You Go is about the terrifying reality of hell and renewing eternal life. Beloved, our family members, loved ones, friends, and coworkers will face an eternity in judgment apart from Jesus Christ, under the full wrath of a holy and righteous God. Let us ARISE, EVANGELISE: PREACH AS YOU GO (Matt 13:24; 24:46; Rev 14:11).

Jesus tells us, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matt 28:19-20). We are saved to spread this Good News everywhere — to the ends of the earth — to ensure He is always with us. Lent 2025 calls us to Evangelise, Preach as You Go!
